You will depart from Houston to Casablanca.
Upon your arrival in Casablanca. You will be warmly greeted by your trusted driver who will insure a smooth transfer to your hotel in the city. The rest of the day of the day is yours to enjoy leisurely providing you with the perfect opportunity to relax and settling in.
Following breakfast in Casablanca, your day will begin with a guided tour of the Hassan II Great Mosque, a remarkable monument that stands as one of the Islamic worlds most magnificent architectural achievements. The exploration continues with visits to the Place Mohammed V, the Casablanca Jewish Museum, and the United Nations Square, each offering unique insights into the citys rich cultural tapestry. Our journey will then take us to the surroundings of the Royal Palace, where you can marvel at the regal architecture. A leisurely stroll along the Ain Diab corniche provides a chance to absorb the coastal beauty of Casablanca. The days' exploration will also include visits to the Temple Beth-El Synagogue, Em Habanim, and Neve Chalom, allowing you to delve into the spiritual heritage of the city. After immersing yourself in the wonders of Casablanca, the tour will proceed to Rabat, the administrative capital of Morocco. Here, you will have the opportunity to visit the splendid Mohammed V Mausoleum and the iconic Hassan Tower, both emblematic of Morocco's rich history and tradition. The day will conclude with an overnight in Rabat.
Journey into the Rif Mountains to discover Chefchaouen, the famous "Blue Pearl" of Morocco. Wander through its mesmerizing, powder-blue alleyways and experience one of the most photogenic cities on earth.
After a nourishing breakfast in Chefchaouen, we shall continue our journey to Fes. En route, you will have the opportunity to delve into the rich history and splendor of the Imperial City of Meknes and the ancient Roman city of Volubilis. Volubilis, once a significant Roman town near the westernmost boundary of the Roman Empire, is steeped in history. Established on the remnants of a Carthaginian settlement from the third century BC, it served as the administrative hub of the Roman African province known as Mauretania Tingitana. The abundant and fertile lands of this province key role in the region's wealth and prosperity. Next, uncover the majestic Imperial city of Meknes, often referred to as the “Moroccan Versailles.” Founded in the 17th century by King Moulay Ismail, Meknes is renowned for its impressive 25-mile-long walls, a testament to its historical significance and grandeur. As the day draws to a close, you will be escorted to your hotel for check-in during the late afternoon. Overnight: Fez
Fez has been graced by the presence of eminent figures and scholars. A visit to this remarkable city is not merely a tour but an intimate exploration into the history of Morocco. The city evolved into a hub for Jewish culture and festivity, making it a destination of profound significance for Jewish travelers. Having served as Morocco's capital for over four centuries, Fez's reputation extends beyond its spiritual importance. We’ll take a brief excursion to the nearby leather shops. Your journey through Fez will encompass visits to the Attarine Madrasa, the sacred Moulay Idriss mausoleum, and the Nejjarine Fountains and Museum. Additionally, you'll have the chance to admire the exterior of the Royal Palace and wander through the renowned Jewish quarter of the medina. Fez's history is marked by trials and triumphs, but it has emerged with a vibrancy that mirrors its distinctive culture, art, and gastronomy. Morocco has over 5000 Barbary Macaque monkeys living wild in a small village of Azrou in the Middle Atlas Mountains about an hour’s drive from Fez. Azrou is a tranquil retreat from the busy city and a potential stop on the way to the desert. The largest populations of Barbary macaques can be found in the Cedar Forest near Azrou. If you haven’t seen monkeys, you can find them near a dead tree. Overnight: Fez
Today, we will make our way south toward the Sahara Desert. The drive is about 6.5 hours, which may seem a lot but don’t worry, our drivers will make it very enjoyable, and we have scheduled a night in the city of Erfoud so that the next day, we will have a full day exploring the desert. We will drive through fertile valleys and into the cedar forests and beautiful lakes of the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop for a picnic lunch at the nature reserve of Midelt before descending into the impressive palm groves and fortified villages of the Ziz valley Overnight: Erfoud
In the morning, enjoy some leisure time in Erfoud before we embark on a journey to the village of Merzouga. Our route will take us through the sacred city of Rissani, a significant site where the forebears of the Alaouite Dynasty rest in the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Sherif. Along the way, we will explore the ruins of Ksar Abbar, a 17th-century Kasbah that stands as a testament to Morocco's rich history. Our journey continues to the village of Khamlia, renowned for its Jazz and Gnawa music traditions. As we approach the auberge nestled near the dunes, we will pause for a delightful lunch and a few hours of relaxation. The adventure then takes a thrilling turn as we embark on a one-hour camel ride, witnessing the breathtaking sunset over the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. The day culminates with our arrival at the camp, where we will spend the night immersed in the serene desert landscape or a hotel nearby.
Begin your day with the awe-inspiring sight of the sunrise over the desert, casting a golden glow over the endless dunes. Following this tranquil moment, indulge in a delicious breakfast amidst the dunes before embarking on a camel ride back to your hotel. As we depart and travel to Marrakech. Upon arrival we will check into our hotel for dinner and relaxation.
Today, you will have the privilege of exploring Marrakech's most iconic sites. Your journey will begin with a visit to the stunning Saadian Tombs, followed by the graceful El Badi Palace, both reflecting the grandeur of Morocco's history. The 12th-century Koutoubia Mosque, a masterpiece of Islamic architecture, will also be part of your tour. As you meander through the medina, you'll be immersed in a vibrant tapestry of life, exploring a continuous array of souqs, mosques, and Each turn reveals new scents, colors, and sounds, capturing the essence of Marrakech. As the day draws to a close, your tour will lead you to the Djemaa el-Fna, the city's pulsating heart. Arriving just before sunset, you'll experience this enormous square transformation into an atmospheric wonderland. Under the glow of torchlight, food stalls come alive, and the air fills with the melodies of snake charmers, the tales of storytellers, and the feats of acrobats.
Begin your day with a wholesome breakfast in Marrakech before setting out on a captivating journey towards Essaouira, an enchanting port town defined by its crescent beach and rugged isles. The two-hour drive will offer glimpses of diverse landscapes, most notably the expansive orchards of Argan Trees. It is common to witness goats perched atop these trees, indulging in Argan nuts, a fascinating sight that showcases their determination to satisfy their appetites. The oil extracted from Argan nuts is globally acclaimed, both for its unique flavor in culinary applications and its advantageous properties in cosmetics such as soaps and moisturizers. We can arrange a visit to a local women's collective that produces many of these products by hand, an authentic experience reflecting the cultural richness of the region. Upon arrival in Essaouira, you'll be introduced to its distinct charm, marked by whitewashed backstreets and bustling artisan's quarters. The villas here exemplify Morocco's thrilling blend of traditional and modern aesthetics. Afterwards we will have lunch and later return to Marrakech for dinner and rest.
It’s a free day, but after you enjoy breakfast at the hotel, get ready for a special surprise! We won’t reveal it here, but we’re sure you’re going to love what we’ve planned for you.
Today is a free day for you to relax or explore the city on your own. You’ll also have time to pack your bags, as this will be our last night in Marrakech.
After our morning meal, we will coordinate a convenient private transfer from the hotel to the airport for your flight back to Paris, France. Upon Arrival in Paris, we will transfer to our hotel. The evening has been arranged for our special dinner @ The Eiffel Tower.
After an early breakfast, the group will depart the hotel on our non-stop flight to the USA.
